To showcase the abilities of these comic book heroes and villains Marvel comics sometimes turned their characters into cartoon characters. These cartoons were for the most part very popular. The Marvel Superheroes show however did not enjoy a long lasting fame on TV as it only lasted from February 1966 to November 1966.

The characters who make up the Marvel Superheroes are the Incredible Hulk, the Submariner, Captain America, Iron Man and Mighty Thor. Each of these Marvel characters are enjoyable comic book characters. Their appeal was however diminished when the cartoon that showcased them did not make much use of animation techniques.

In the Marvel Superheroes cartoon show these five Marvel Superheroes were shown on various days of the week. On a certain day you would be able to see how the Submariner who is known as Prince Namor faced off against his various enemies including his arch nemesis Mandarin. Prince Namor is characterized as being a prince from the submerged kingdom of Atlantis.

On another day of the week you could see the Incredible Hulk lose his temper as he changes from the mild mannered Dr. Bruce Banner and turns into the green skinned giant. In these episodes of the Marvel Superheroes show you get to see the various mishaps and dangers that face the Incredible Hulk as he squares off against a being called the Leader.

In the Marvel superheroes cartoon show you will see the different action adventures that the heroes go through. These segments are short of animation detail and they lack the smooth polish of the other action cartoons of the era. For each of the stories about the Marvel Superheroes the various battles and other situations are ones that are depicted in the Marvel Superheroes comic books.

As a result the Marvel superheroes show did not gain much of a fan base and after 65 episodes it was cancelled. Today a few of the Marvel Characters from that show still enjoy fan approval and enjoyment but only because the storyline has been revamped and the available technology makes full use of all the ideas that can bring these Marvel Superheroes to life.

The next time that you see some of these Marvel Superheroes in shows of their own you should be thankful that the television animators and produces of today realize that they need to show the many aspects of being a superhero for the young fans of today

About this Contributor:
Muna wa Wanjiru is a web administrator and has been researching and reporting on internet marketing for years. Many of the comic book characters have come from DC comics and off course Marvel comics. The big stars in the DC comics that have become big would be Superman and the Dark Knight who is Batman.

Marvel characters that have been made into movies are probably more like the Ghost Rider, Electra, Daredevil, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Blade and the X-Men. Other notable characters from the comic books that have also been made into movies would include the Punisher and Captain America, however they are still other characters that haven’t yet been made into movies but will soon be.

Marvel Characters that will soon become movies, are superhero characters like the Avengers, which include Captain America, Giant Man also called Pym, Iron man, the wasp and many more which includes General Fury. Other new characters are also coming out of the woodwork such as Scarlet Witch, the Sasquatch and many more that will probably be made into movie characters. Marvel Characters don’t only include the good guys there are also villains that we subject with certain superheroes, such as if you see Dr. Doom you expect to see the Fantastic Four or sometimes Spiderman. If you see the green goblin then you will definitely see Spiderman and the X-Men they get to fight other mutants like them who are bad and are usually led by Magneto.

About author: Peter Gitundu

Five Of The Greatest Villains In Marvel Comics

To be ranked as some of the best villains in marvel comics they have to be dastardly, cool, clever, or just plain evil. And the marvel universe is filled with plenty of villains that fit the bill. But only a select few of the villains in marvel comics are the baddest of the bad. Not all the villains in marvel comics could hold the distinction of the absolute best, but these are among the ones that can.

First up we have the Green Goblin, Norman Osborn. He may not be the most powerful of all the villains in marvel comics, but he's definitely one of the vilest. Terrorizing Spider-Man until Osborn's death, and then terrorizing him again when he came back from the dead, Osborn is vicious, depraved and unpredictable. And now that he sits in a seat of power over the entire marvel universe that unpredictability and his psychopathic tendencies just shot him up to the top of the list of the greatest villains in marvel comics.

Next we have the Kingpin, Wilson Fisk. All the man boasts is enormous girth, intense strength and a ton of money, which adds many minions to his call. A thorn in the sides of the likes of Spider-Man and Daredevil, the Kingpin was at one time one of the most ruthless villains in marvel comics. He had no regard for life and didn't care who he hurt. He was on top of the world and had the world fooled for a long time while he acted as the head of the criminal underworld. Had Daredevil not finally taken the big man down he'd still be sitting on his empire, an empire worthy of one of the greatest villains in marvel comics.

Then there's Ultron, the creation of Henry Pym that went on to terrorize and nearly destroy the Avengers on more than one occasion. This super-intelligent and possibly sentient robot is one of the greatest villains in marvel comics simply because he's not human. He doesn't have a heart or a mind, and thus everything he does is cold, calculated and despicable. His sole goal is to rid the world of the Avengers and anyone else who stands in his way.

Of all the villains in marvel comics, Apocalypse is potentially the greatest threat. He's a seemingly immortal mutant that in every possible future of the marvel universe thus far he has ruled and reigned eventually. If the Age of Apocalypse story line showed us anything it showed us just how bad this mutant supremacist is.

And finally there's Magneto, the Master of Magnetism, and no list of the greatest villains in marvel comics would be complete without him. What makes Magneto so deadly isn't just his ability to control any kind of metal in existence, including the iron in our blood. But it's the cause that he fights for. He truly believes he is doing the right thing, and when a being with that much power is convinced that he's the savior of his people there's no limit to the lengths of destruction he might go to.

There are other great villains in marvel comics as this is just a few notable standouts. And each and every one of these listed have done much to deserve their place in such a list.

About the Author:
Follow the exploits of rockers DEMON TWEAK and the racing clan HARD DRIVING HEROES, as they battle the evil trickster Loki at http://www.classic-comic-book.com .
